WIRELESS NETWORK ON MOON!!!

ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE
Wireless broadband connectivity coming to the Moon?
If the unavailability of Internet was the only thing keeping you from visiting the Moon, then here's an important update for you: Researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's (MIT) Lincoln Laboratory in coordination with NASA will demonstrate a new data communication technology that provides broadband-like connectivity for transmitting data to and from earth.
The technology will be demoed at a Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics , scheduled to be held next month in California, US. The team will be providing details and overview of the on-orbit performance of their laser-based communication uplink between the Moon and Earth, which has reportedly surpassed the previous record transmission speed by a factor of 4,800.
“This will be the first time that we present both the implementation overview and how well it actually worked," said Mark Stevens of MIT Lincoln Laboratory. "The on-orbit performance was excellent and close to what we'd predicted , giving us confidence that we have a good understanding of the underlying physics," Stevens added.
The MIT team had last year showed their Lunar Laser Communication Demonstration (LLCD) transmitted data between the Moon and Earth at a download rate of 622 Mbps per second, which is said to be faster than any radio frequency system. The team also managed to transmit data from the Earth to the Moon at 19.44 Mbps per second, a factor of 4,800 times speedier than the best RF uplink ever used.

"LLCD also demonstrated the ability to 'hand-off' the laser connection from one ground station to another, just as a cellphone does a hand-off from one cell tower to another. An additional achievement was the ability to operate LLCD without using LADEE's radio at all," read a statement from NASA last year.

"Communicating at high data rates from Earth to the Moon with laser beams is challenging because of the 400,000km distance spreading out the light beam," Stevens said. "It's doubly difficult going through the atmosphere, because turbulence can bend light--causing rapid fading or dropouts of the signal at the receiver," said Stevens.
To ensure smooth signal over such a massive distance, the team used several techniques to accomplish error-free performance over several optical challenging conditions in both darkness and bright conditions. A ground terminal, set up at in New Mexico, uses four separate telescopes to send the uplink signal to the Moon. Each telescope is about 6 inches in diameter and fed by a laser transmitter that sends information coded as pulses of invisible infrared light.

THE NEW SOCIAL NETWORK

THE NEW SOCIAL NETWORK
So you’ve watched the The Social Network and are convinced that Mark Zuckerberg is a real jerk. You may soon be thinking the same thing about Twitter co-founder Evan Williams, only this time, it’s not just a movie.
The official version of Twitter’s conception begins in Williams’ apartment. Williams, along with former Google employee Biz Stone and investor Jack Dorsey set out to build a podcasting platform called Odeo, but after Apple launched iTunes, the company quickly became obsolete. Instead, Williams bought out Odeo’s investors and shifted the focus toward a little idea about 140 character status updates.
However, Business Insider reports that the real story is not that simple, or innocent. Notably, it leaves out one of the social media giant’s co-founders, Noah Glass.
Nicholas Carlson reports, “According to interviews with about a dozen early investors and employees, the story of how Twitter was actually founded begins with an entrepreneur named Noah Glass, who started Odeo in his apartment.”
The longer, “real” version goes like this.
Odeo began in Glass’ apartment, it later moved into Williams’. Eventually, it expanded to an office building and 14 employees.
In 2005, Odeo’s expansion was halted when Apple announced iTunes. Williams, who by now was Odeo’s CEO, asked his employees for a new direction to salvage the company. That’s when Jack Dorsey’s light bulb went one and he came up with the a social networking site based on a person’s “status.” Noah Glass developed the concept with Dorsey and presented the idea to the company.
“After that February presentation to the company, Evan Williams was skeptical of Twitter’s potential, but he put Glass in charge of the project,” Business Insider reporter. “From time to time, Biz Stone helped out Glass’s Twitter team.”
Odeo investor George Zachary told Business Insider “there were two people who were really excited [about Twitter], Jack and Noah Glass. Noah was fanatically excited about Twitter. Fanatically! Evan and Biz weren’t at that level. Not remotely.”
Almost a year after Williams asked his employees for ideas, he told investors about Odeo’s Twitter project. In those early days, nobody knew that the company would one day be worth over $5 billion, and Williams, hoping to save investors a loss, offered to buy back Odeo’s stock. Odeo’s investors accepted the deal, though some believe they got conned, believing Williams knew more about Twitter’s potential than he let on.

After taking ownership, Williams first order of business was to change the name to Obvious Corp, his second was to fire Noah Glass.
The most common explanation among the company’s early employees was that Glass’ boisterous personality clashed with the quiet and contemplative Williams. Other suggest Glass’ push to run Twitter himself didn’t sit well with the chief executive.
In any case, Williams remained at the helm of one the of the most successful social media companies, and Glass’ name was largely erased from the history books.
Glass, whose Twitter page says “I started this,” admits he didn’t do it alone. He credits Dorsey and others,  saying the site’s genesis happened through “conversations.” Though Twitter’s biggest advocate, who gave the site its name, insists that the story given by Evan Williams and Biz Stones does not acknowledge the contributions he made. He said, “I do know that without me, Twitter wouldn’t exist. In a huge way.”

In a small recognition of that fact, after Business Insider published the story, Williams wrote on Twitter  “It’s true that @Noah never got enough credit for his early role at Twitter.”
But who’s fault is that?

How One Mistake Can Cost You a Title... Complete analysis about UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2014 Final in Lisbon.

DIEGO SIMEONE

What a match it was yesterday, the UEFA Champions League final. Nobody had expected Atletico Madrid to reach the finals. The neighbours of the most successful club in the history, were the underdogs in all the tournaments they were participating. They came out of this tag and defeated the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid in the standings of La Liga. Everyone is praising Atletico Madrid, especially Thibaut Courtois, the whole defence, Koke, Diego Costa and above all, Diego Simeone. With the amounts of funds he had to carry on his team and the way he carried out his proceedings is praiseworthy.

About the final, an error by Iker Casillas lead to a header by Godin.  But everything seemed to be fine, until Sergio Ramos brought Real Madrid back to the game.

WHAT WAS THE MISTAKE MADE BY DIEGO SIMEONE??

Mistake was to put unfit striker, Diego Costa in the starting lineup. Everyone was unsure if Costa was ready to start or not, if he is fit enough or not. But, everyone seemed to be happy upon hearing the news of Diego Costa's inclusion in the Starting XI. But, it didn't result like everyone had expected. He had to come-off after 10 mins. Atletico managed to hold on to the game despite the loss of their key player, but after 60 mins., they seemed to have lost all the momentum and energy they possessed. And opposition was a strong one, which included likes of Angel Di Maria, Gareth Bale, Modric, Sergio Ramos and above all Cristiano Ronaldo. Ramos took the game to extra-time, but it was Bale who brought Real Madrid towards the winning line. And by that time, Diego, with no substitutions left, had no other choice rather than to continue with the tired legs and injured Juanfran. Football Pundits from all over the world also possess the opinion of including Costa and wasting a crucial substitution in the final as the turning point of the game. Everyone is a fan of Simeone's tactics, but yesterday's decisions are still under spotlight. Meanwhile, Real Madrid have won it for record 10 times, and Atletico seemed to end the dominance of Real Madrid and Barcelona in the Liga BBVA.

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone said it's time for his team to rest, relax and prepare to compete and bother the big teams again next season. He insisted that his side must raise themselves from the disappointment of being minutes away from winning the Champions League and come back even stronger next season.

MICROSOFT SURFACE PRO 3: THE TABLET THAT CAN REPLACE YOUR LAPTOP

IT CAN DO ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 works as a tablet when you want to watch video or read e-books. It works as a laptop when you need to get serious work done. The Surface delivers on both, though it falls short of meeting Microsoft’s claim to do so without compromising on either.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 runs a full version of Microsoft’s Windows 8 system, the same as you get on a traditional desktop or laptop computer. That means that, unlike other tablets, it can run just about any program designed for Windows: Microsoft Office, Photoshop and more.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a touch screen like other tablets, but it also has an optional cover that opens to reveal a physical keyboard and touchpad. It has a USB port and one for external displays, both of which are rare on tablets.

price range starts from rs 47,000 to rs 1,20,000
To few it may seem too much but when you have the power of this beast in your hands everywhere you go NOTHING IS TOO MUCH.
